Our local chapters have been very active. Here are some highlights:
The New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society (NEHES) held their annual Spring Seminar in Newton, Mass., on April 5. ASHE President-Elect Michael Hatton kicked off the program with a great presentation on best practices and lessons learned. The exhibit rooms were packed with supporting members eager to help facility staff find solutions to their various challenges. NEHES will be hosting their fall conference in Stowe, Vt., Sept. 22-25. More information will be coming soon.
The Eastern New York Society for Healthcare Engineering (ENYSHE) held a star-studded Life Safety Symposium in partnership with Specified Technologies Incorporated (STI). Speakers Kelly Proctor of DNV, Mark Izsa of STI, Steve Spaanbroek of MSL Healthcare Partners, Tiffany Kesinger of the University of Kansas Health System and Ted West of The Joint Commission made Latham, N.Y. shine with an amazing day of education. Supporting members exhibited and showcased their services.
